The Awards
Launched in the USA in 2018, the Tiptree World Bread Awards with IBIE are the United State’s leading national celebration of the art of bread-baking. Open to all, professional and amateur, old and young.
Regarded as the USA’s most prestigious bread awards, they are judged by a stellar panel of judges. We have been honoured over the years that so many great names have given their support, time and expertise. From Zachary Golper, James Beard Foundation nominee of Bien Cuit bakery, to David and Tracey Zabar of Zabars, to Dana Cowin, legendary past editor of Food & Wine – and many more.
The Awards have seized the public and professional imagination. The wide-ranging categories range from Baguette, to Bagel, Sourdough to Savoury Sweet and for those wishing to express their baking creativity we have the Tiptree Showstopper USA.
This year, we are delighted to announce that the judging and Awards reception will be held at the International Baking Industry Exposition (IBIE) in Las Vegas. IBIE is the most significant event in the Western Hemisphere, bringing together all segments of the grain-based foods industry.
Each year it is quite a sight to see when hundreds of loaves are sent in from across the USA on the morning of the Judging Day, arriving by courier, by train, in person and even by plane!
A unique set of awards which not only celebrate the skill of bread-making at its most diverse and inspiring, but also seek to encourage and foster the art of baking both now and for the future generation
